Overview

In this two-day workshop, Prof. Fiona Fui-Hoon Nah and Prof. Keng Siau will provide a brief introduction to challenges in pursuing human-computer interaction (HCI), metaverse, and artificial intelligence (AI) research, and lead discussions on how to research emerging IS topics such as metaverse and AI as well as HCI research in NeuroIS. The workshop will cover the concept of flow experience and the EEG activity associated with flow as well as AI governance and ethics.

Assignments

There are two assignments to be completed – one for the first day of the workshop and the other for the second day of the workshop. Each assignment will include the following components: (i) your reflections on what you have learned from the workshop and how you intend to apply what you have learned to your own (current or future) research; (ii) research topics/questions of interest that you have generated from the workshop; (iii) in what ways and to what degree the workshop has enhanced or advanced your understanding about research methods and/or information systems research. 
 

Credit points

Doctoral students participating in the seminar can obtain  2 credit points. This requires participating and completing the assignments.

Registration fee

This seminar is free-of-charge for Inforte.fi member organization's staff and their PhD students. For others the participation fee is 400 €. The participation fee includes access to the event and the event materials. Lunch and dinner are not included.
