Overview

The workshop aims to provide a state of the art view to digitalization. More specifically, the workshop will look at the nature of digitalization and the impact of digitalization on innovation concept and theory. The workshop will also highlight important issues in development, but also diffusion of digital platforms and technology standards. We also see that digitalisation is influenced by service systems engineering and more specifically how field-based design research for innovative service systems, and/or digital transformation impacts digitalisation. Finally, we will take a look at value creation for digital services and particularly for cyber-physical systems enabled services.

Course assignments

Pre-course assignment: Research proposal on the topic of digitalization and presentation slides (max. 10 min). Send assignment to juuli.lintula@jyu.fi by Tuesday 15th August 4:00 pm.
