Adopting SOA - methods, techniques and practises

In this seminar, migration of legacy systems towards SOA is discussed. The topics cover both techniques and methods developed, as well as examples of practical migration projects.

Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) is a paradigm for organizing and utilizing distributed capabilities that may be under the control of different ownership domains. Service-orientation aims at loosely coupled services to support the requirements of business processes and users.

SOA thus appears to be a useful tool for the integration and migration of various software systems.Due to its great potential, interest in the adaptation of  SOA in IT companies and organizations in general has grown rapidly. A common problem many companies are currently facing is how to migrate existing in-use software systems to SOA.
