Overview

The rapid advancement of digital technologies in the information age has created unprecedented challenges for organizational cybersecurity. Achieving true cybersecurity resilience—where operations continue reliably despite evolving cyber threats—requires a holistic approach that extends beyond technical measures to include both strategic and individual dimensions. This workshop explores organizational cybersecurity resilience at multiple levels: the strategic level, focusing on boards of directors and their digital fiduciary duties, and the individual level, emphasizing employee awareness and resilience through phishing training. In addition, national-level considerations are briefly discussed, comparing the cybersecurity landscapes of Finland and the United States.

Highlights:

  • Strategic level: What are boards of directors’ digital fiduciary responsibilities? What challenges and theories are relevant?
  • Individual level: Why are trainings critical for employee cyber resilience? What challenges exist and what theories apply?
  • National level: A comparison of the cybersecurity landscapes in Finland and the U.S.
