In this event two leading researchers and developers of cloud computing discuss topics around cloud computing, including security issues, service engineering, and possibilities for innovative companies.

SHORT BIO - Aake Edlund

Project leader and researcher at KTH, leading the Northern Europe
Cloud Initiative (NEON), BalticGrid, BalticCloud and BalticGrid
Innovation Lab. Member of EU's expert group on cloud computing. Aake
has a PhD in computational quantum chemistry, and a startup background
participating, leading and co-founding six startups. Aake is the CEO
of Pawn Promotion, a cloud strategy company, and a board member of
EuroCloud Sweden.

SHORT BIO - Stefan Tai

Professor at KIT (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology) and Director at FZI (Forschungszentrum Informatik Karlsruhe). Lead and partner in applied research projects on Cloud Computing and Service Engineering, including industry-funded projects (IBM, SAP, Deutsche Telekom, HP Labs), national initiatives ("Spitzencluster" on software innovations for the digital enterprise), EU FP7 projects and the EIT ICT Labs (European Institute for Innovation and Technology, KIC on ICT). Prior to his appointments in Karlsruhe end of 2007, Stefan worked for 8.5 years at the IBM TJ Watson Research Center in New York, USA. Stefan holds a PhD in Engineering and a Diploma in Computer Science from TU Berlin.
