Contingency Management based on ICT

The measures beforehand defined in order to minimize the damage and loss supposing the unexpected situations, such as an incident, an accident, and a disaster, occurring, and an action procedure. Some risks (uncertain factor) of becoming an obstacle when the organization continues the enterprise and the project are various. The measure and procedure should plan in advance in preparation for the cases. A contingency plan considers the size of the damage at the time of risk generating and the probability of risk generating.

ABSTRACT

The measures beforehand defined in order to minimize the damage and loss supposing the unexpected situations, such as an incident, an accident, and a disaster, occurring, and an action procedure. Some risks (uncertain factor) of becoming an obstacle when the organization continues the enterprise and the project are various. The measure and procedure should plan in advance in preparation for the cases. A contingency plan considers the size of the damage at the time of risk generating and the probability of risk generating.
The contents are included to measures, such as preparation of alternative equipment and a contractor besides document products, such as a correspondence plan to each member's action agenda, the action plan and the customer, and mass media in an emergency, and a priority of business, or continuation and repair work of function, and reservation of safety stock.
Also the information system needs the contingency plan for the business continuity. For example, preparation of a backup system, maintenance of an obstacle restoration manual, etc. for system glitches. Moreover, in unlawful access, viral infection, and an information leak, decision of the contingency plan orderly will be needed from viewpoints of prevention of secondary damage, cause investigation, service to customers, etc.
The importance of the decision capability is increasing reflecting complication of business environment in recent years.

This seminar is free-of-charge for INFORTE.fi member organization's staff and their PhD-students. For others the participation fee is 700 €. The participation fee includes access to the event and the event materials. Lunch and dinner are not included.

CREDIT POINTS FOR PhD STUDENTS

Doctoral students participating in the seminar can obtain 2 (two) credit points. This requires participating on both days and completing the assignments given at the seminar.
