Credit points

Doctoral students participating in the seminar can obtain 2 credit points. This requires participating on both days and completing the assignments, participation in class, and group work report showing understanding of the topic and its implication.

Assignment and materials

Descriptions of the readings and assignment

The readings focuses on various theories, models and perspectives from fields other then IT. The readings will offer students new insights with regards to the nature of enterprises and the act of designing them.

Assignment:

  • Part 1: In groups of two, students will be assigned a specific article. Their task is to explore the implications of the article for Enterprise Architecture. A short 10 min PowerPoint presentation is made in class.
  • Part 2: In groups of two, students will be assigned a other groups article to opponent. Their task is to prepare a critical analysis of the proposed ideas. A short 5 min critical review and discussion is made in class.
  • Part 3: Individually, with the same article; the task is to explore the implication of the article for their PhD projects. A short 2 page essay is written with the APA word template etc. from:  (http://www.wright.edu/~martin.maner/rptemp.htm) .

 

Registration fee

This seminar is free-of-charge for Inforte.fi member organization's staff and their PhD students. For others the participation fee is 750 €. The participation fee includes access to the event and the event materials. Lunch and dinner are not included.
