Torsti Sirén is Head of the Research Group of the Department of Leadership and Management Studies at the Finnish National Defence University, Helsinki. He graduated from the General Staff Officer Course in 1998 (National Defence University, Finland) and from Helsinki University (Department of Political Science) in 2009 as Ph.D. (Pol.Sc.). Subject of his doctoral thesis was “State Agent, Identity and the New World Order – Reconstructing Polish Defence Identity after the Cold War Era” (see, e.g., http://www.amazon.com/State-Agent-Identity-World-Order/dp/38383 07429).
