Dr. Jukka Leppänen (University of Tampere School of Medicine)
Jukka Leppänen has worked as a researcher at the University of Minnesota (Institute of Child Development), Harvard Medical School, and University of Tampere School of Medicine. A central aim of his research has been to develop electrophysiological and eye-tracking based techniques to examine early-developing neurocognitive functions in humans, particularly those involved in coding emotional information. Among the many potential applications of this research, his current work is focused on markers that predict early childhood development and could be used for early identification of children’s behavioral problems in a variety of settings.
