Raghava Mukkamala is a Professor of Data Science and Cybersecurity in the Department of Digitalization at Copenhagen Business School in Denmark. His research spans data science, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence, with a particular focus on developing computational methods to analyze social discourse, misinformation, hate speech, and online bias. His current work explores the application of fine-tuning and domain adaptation techniques to open-source and small language models (SLMs) to develop practical, transparent, sustainable, and resource-efficient AI solutions. As part of a pro bono research collaboration with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), he focuses on domain adaptation and fine-tuning of large language models to identify hate speech, bias, and harmful discourse targeting refugees. Raghava has published extensively in leading IEEE and ACM journals and conferences, as well as in several highly ranked journals listed in the FT-50, AJG 4*, and ABDC A* categories. In addition to his research, he teaches courses in programming, machine learning, data science, and blockchain technologies. He holds a PhD in Theoretical Computer Science and an M.Sc. in Information Technology from the IT University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
