Riitta Hekkala is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the School of Business at the Aalto University, Helsinki. She is also an Adjunct Professor at Tampere University of Technology. She has worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher and a Lecturer in Information Systems at the University of Oulu. She has a Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of Oulu (2011). She has been a Teacher and a researcher both in Educational Sciences and in Information Systems at the University of Oulu, Finland. She worked as a Visiting Research Fellow in the Business School, at the University of Auckland, New Zealand during 3/2008– 2/2009.
