Dr. Juuli Lumivalo’s is an information systems scholar at the Faculty of Information Technology in University of Jyväskylä, and coordinator for the Finnish Hub for Digitalization (FHDi). Her work focuses on digital service use, innovation, and design, co-creation and co-destruction of value, continuous digital service innovation in organizations, and digital sustainability. A central aim of her research is to explain how digital services can be designed and governed to better align with what users value in context, thereby supporting sustained engagement and environmental and social sustainability. Her work has been published in information systems and service research outlets, such as the Journal of Service Research and the Pacific Asia Journal of the Association for Information Systems, and presented at premier international conferences such as ICIS, ECIS, and HICSS. Lumivalo serves as Early Career Researcher chair of the AIS Special Interest Group of Services. She received her PhD in Information Systems from the University of Jyväskylä in 2020 and was a doctoral fellow at the ICIS and ECIS Doctoral Consortia. Her research has been supported by the Paulo Foundation, the Nokia Foundation, and the Foundation for Economic Education in Finland.
