Saxena, KBC

Dr. K. Bhushan C. Saxena is Professor of Information Management at the Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, India.

He also directs the ‘Centre of Excellence for Information Management’ set up at MDI with funding from the European Union. Earlier he worked as a Visiting Professor at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore; as an Assistant Professor in Information Systems at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, Rotterdam, the Netherlands; and as Senior Lecturer and Reader in Information Systems at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong. Prior to this Dr. Saxena worked in India with Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad; Indian Space Research Organisation, Ahmedabad and Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute, Pilani.

Dr. Saxena received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Lucknow University and his Ph.D. in management from Gujarat University. Dr. Saxena has more than thirty five years of academic and diversified industrial experience in information systems development and management of information systems services and technology. His teaching, research and consulting interests are in business process management and outsourcing, e-governance/e-government, and knowledge management.

He has co-authored three books titled World Class Manufacturing: A Strategic Perspective (2000); Business Process Outsourcing for Strategic Advantage (2007), and Business Process Outsourcing as Strategic Partnering: Building Win-Win Relationship between European Customers and Indian Service Partners (2008); and is also the author/co-author of more than 100 papers published as book chapters, as papers in national and international conference proceedings, and in national and international journals. He has also developed an e-Learning course on e-Business Planning and Implementation published by e-Macmillan.com and a course on Strategic Information Systems Planning for Open University of Hong Kong.
