Bendik Bygstad is a sociologist who is currently a professor at Department of Informatics, University of Oslo. His main research interests are IT-based service innovation and the relationship of IS and organizational change. He is also interested in IS research methods, in particular the methodological implications of critical realism. His preferred empirical approach is longitudinal process research, and he has published articles in MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Journal, Journal of Information Technology, and Information & Organization.
